Most buyers ask us the same thing: “What’s the safest, simplest, and fairest way to pay—and can we adjust it for our project?”
Yes. We keep terms flexible and agree the final arrangement case-by-case. Below is a clear, reader-friendly guide you can skim in a minute and use for your next PO.

For small, low-risk purchases such as shade checks or lab samples, PayPal/Card is the quickest path.
For production POs, the worldwide standard is a bank transfer (T/T via SWIFT). PDYA’s preference for bulk is T/T with “OUR”, which means the remitter covers all bank charges so the invoice amount is received in full.
If your company policy or financing requires it, we can also accept an Irrevocable Letter of Credit (at sight).

Everything—method, split, currency, Incoterms—can be tailored to the order.

Bank transfer (T/T) — for bulk orders

T/T is popular because it clears quickly, is easy to reconcile, and avoids percentage-based platform fees on higher values. When sending an international wire you’ll see three charge options:

  • OUR: the sender pays all bank fees, so the seller receives the full amount.
  • SHA: each party pays its own bank; intermediary banks may still deduct along the way.
  • BEN: the beneficiary pays all fees; shortfalls are common.

PDYA preference for bulk: T/T (OUR) so your order isn’t held up by a few dollars missing after bank deductions. That said, if your finance policy requires a different setup, tell us—we’ll discuss and agree it per project.

PayPal/Card — for samples and small orders

When speed and convenience matter most—sample packs, quick color approvals—PayPal/Card is ideal. Fees are percentage-based and there is a dispute window, so we don’t recommend it for larger production POs. If you do use it, please choose “Goods & Services” and include PO / item / lot in the note for clean records.

Letter of Credit (LC)

Some organizations need the extra formality of an Irrevocable LC at sight. We’re comfortable with that. To keep things smooth, keep the document list simple and standard (commercial invoice, packing list, B/L or AWB, certificate of origin if requested, and a non-hazard/MSDS statement where relevant). Complex conditions only increase the chance of bank discrepancies and delays. Banking and confirmation charges outside our bank are normally for the buyer’s account—we’ll spell that out in the PI.

What payment timing looks like

Many buyers choose one of these schedules—use them as starting points, not hard rules:

  • Samples: usually 100% in advance (PayPal/Card or T/T).
  • Air shipments: 100% before dispatch, or 30% deposit + 70% before dispatch.
  • Sea LCL/FCL: 30% deposit when the PO is placed, 70% against a copy of the B/L (or before release if you prefer).
  • Net terms (15/30): available for approved accounts after history/review.

If your team needs a different split (e.g., 50/50 for express shipments), tell us—we’re happy to discuss.

Samples policy (simple and generous)

  • Samples are free for standard shades/sizes.
  • The buyer covers courier/postage and any third-party charges (e.g., certificates/legalization if requested).
  • If we note it on the PI, the sample value can be credited to your first bulk order.

What else can be customized?

  • Currency: USD / EUR / CNY by default (others on request).
  • Incoterms: EXW / FOB / CIF / DAP / DDP—choose what fits your lane and compliance needs.
  • Bank details & documentation: we’ll provide a clean set (invoice, packing list, MSDS/non-hazard statement, etc.) matched to your broker’s requests.

Ready-to-use wording for your PI

Use these exactly as written or tweak them with your team—no legalese required.

Preferred wire clause (for bulk):
Payment: T/T (OUR) — 30% deposit on order; 70% before shipment (air) / against copy of B/L (sea). The remitter covers all bank charges so the invoice amount is received in full.

Shortfall clause:
If bank/intermediary deductions occur, Buyer will top up any shortfall to the invoiced total before dispatch or document release.

Sample clause:
Samples are free of charge. Buyer pays courier and any third-party fees. If specified on the PI, the sample value will be credited against the first bulk PO.

LC clause (optional):
Irrevocable LC at sight is acceptable. Payment against clean on-board B/L and standard documents. All banking charges outside Seller’s bank are for Buyer’s account.

Bottom line: You have real choice. For speed on tiny orders, use PayPal/Card. For production, T/T (OUR) keeps things clean and predictable. If your policy calls for an LC, we can accommodate it. And if any step needs adjusting, tell us—we’ll tailor the terms to the project.
